Egypt is moving forward with
plans to launch the first phase of its Egyptian Real Estate Export Platform, a
digital initiative designed to attract foreign investment and strengthen the
country’s position in the global real estate market.
The project was the focus of
an expanded meeting between Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban
Communities, Randa El-Menshawy, and Minister of Communications and Information
Technology, Raafat Hindi, held at the Ministry of Housing headquarters in the
New Administrative Capital.
The meeting reviewed the
implementation status of the platform and explored ways to enhance cooperation
between the two ministries to ensure the successful rollout of the initiative.
The platform is expected to provide an integrated digital system that enables
foreign investors to access verified real estate information, complete
purchases securely, and interact with relevant government entities through
streamlined digital processes.
Officials said the platform
forms part of broader efforts to facilitate foreign investment in Egypt’s real
estate sector while supporting economic growth and increasing the country’s
competitiveness in international property markets.
Speaking during the meeting,
El-Menshawy highlighted the strong collaboration between the Ministries of
Housing and Communications in advancing digital transformation initiatives. She
described the real estate export platform as a strategic project that will help
market Egyptian real estate to international investors and open new
opportunities for foreign direct investment.
According to the minister,
the platform will provide a transparent and secure environment where investors
can access approved and licensed real estate projects, helping to strengthen
confidence in Egypt’s property market. She noted that Egypt’s modern urban
developments and large-scale infrastructure projects position the country as a
competitive destination for global real estate investment.
For his part, Hindi
emphasized that the platform is being developed as a comprehensive and secure
multilingual digital system that will facilitate sales, digital documentation,
and investment processes. He said the Ministry of Communications is leveraging
advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and cloud computing,
to deliver a seamless digital experience for both local and international
investors.
He added that the platform’s
infrastructure has been designed in line with international standards and will
allow users to access interactive services and complete transactions
efficiently through direct engagement with government institutions.
During the meeting,
officials reviewed progress made since the issuance of directives to establish
a national real estate export system. Preparations are currently underway to
launch the first phase in New Alamein City, which has been identified as one of
Egypt’s most attractive destinations for real estate investment.
The discussions also
highlighted ongoing cooperation between the two ministries on several digital
transformation projects, including the development of smart city
infrastructure, the digitization of services offered by the New Urban
Communities Authority, and the provision of online platforms for housing and
land reservations.
Officials described the real
estate export platform as a key addition to these efforts and an important step
toward strengthening Egypt’s digital economy while expanding international
investment opportunities in the real estate sector.
The meeting was attended by
senior officials from both ministries, including Deputy Minister of Housing for
Urban Communities Walid Abbas and Assistant Minister of Communications for
Digital Transformation Affairs Mahmoud Badawy, among others involved in the
project’s implementation.
