Senior
executives of Safaricom Ethiopia Telecommunications PLC have concluded a
two-day high-level strategic session aimed at strengthening business
performance, aligning priorities, and accelerating market expansion in
Ethiopia.
The
discussions, held at the company’s headquarters, brought together key
leadership including Peter Ndegwa, Dilip Pal, and Wim Vanhelleputte, alongside
senior group and local executives.

The
sessions focused on reviewing operational performance, refining strategic
direction, and exploring opportunities to enhance customer experience through
the delivery of innovative and affordable digital services.
As
part of the engagement, the leadership team conducted field visits to key
market locations, including Gotera Condominium and Meskel Flower Shop, where
they interacted with customers, distributors, and merchants.

These
on-the-ground engagements provided insights into customer needs, operational
challenges, and emerging opportunities, helping to inform strategies aimed at
strengthening local partnerships and improving service delivery.
The
company indicated that the outcomes of the discussions and field interactions
will guide ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in Ethiopia and deliver more
responsive, customer-centric solutions in the market.
