The
International Association of Portuguese-Speaking Communications has announced
the winners of the AICEP 2026 Awards, recognising outstanding personalities and
institutions from Mozambique, Angola, Portugal, and Brazil for their
contributions to the communications sector.

The
awards, presented across the categories of Career, Leadership, and Innovation,
celebrate achievements within the community of Portuguese-speaking countries
and highlight excellence in information and communication technologies.
In
the Career category, Americo Muchanga, Minister of Communications and Digital
Transformation of Mozambique, was honoured for his longstanding professional
contributions and impact on the development of the ICT sector.
The
Leadership award was presented to Ângelo Gama of Angola Cables, in recognition
of his strategic direction and role in advancing one of the country’s most
internationally active telecommunications companies.

In
the Innovation category, RTP - Radio and Television of Portugal was recognised
for its “Lab” programme, while ECT - Correios do Brasil received an award for
its logistics operations linked to COP30 Brazil, both acknowledged for their
innovative approaches.
The
AICEP Awards continue to serve as a platform for highlighting leadership,
innovation, and excellence within the communications industry across
Portuguese-speaking nations.
