The
Ministère de l’Économie numérique, de la Digitalisation et de l’Innovation
Gabon has intensified preparations for the upcoming Libreville International
Forum scheduled for 3 May in Libreville.
As
part of the coordination process, the Minister of Digital Economy,
Digitalization and Innovation Mark-Alexandre Doumba held a strategic working
session at the Omar Bongo Ondimba Convention Center with the General
Commissioner for Exhibitions of Gabon, Nina Abouna.
The
meeting reviewed organisational arrangements for the high-level event, which is
expected to bring together Heads of State, led by President Brice Clotaire
Oligui Nguema, alongside representatives from the public and private sectors as
well as international institutions.
Discussions
focused on the structuring of thematic panels, mobilisation of international
partners, and coordination of exhibitions showcasing national expertise and
innovation capabilities.
Officials
said the forum will address key development and innovation challenges,
positioning Gabon as an active participant in Africa’s digital transformation
agenda.
With
the event approaching, organisers said preparations are being accelerated to
ensure the forum serves as a major platform for dialogue, partnership and
investment in the digital economy.
