Airtel Zambia PLC has intensified its investment in education infrastructure under its Adopt-a-School initiative, with ongoing development works at Kamulaseni Community School in Chipata.

The company’s Vice President for Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Airtel Africa, Emeka Oparah, recently visited the school to assess progress on the construction of new classroom blocks and computer laboratories.

The visit brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from Zambia Open Community Schools and the District Education Board Secretary, who commended the initiative for its contribution to improving access to quality education.

The infrastructure project is part of Airtel Zambia’s broader effort to create conducive learning environments while integrating digital tools into education. Officials said the addition of computer labs will enhance digital literacy among pupils and equip them with skills relevant to the modern economy.

The initiative also seeks to address challenges related to overcrowding and limited access to educational resources in community schools, particularly in underserved areas.

Airtel Zambia indicated that the project reflects its continued commitment to community development and to expanding opportunities for learners across the country through improved infrastructure and access to technology.
