Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) has carried out an institutional cooperation mission in Luanda, Angola aimed at strengthening international collaboration in the regulation and development of the digital sector.

The ANACOM delegation included Manuel Cabugueira, Director at the authority, and Manuel Costa Cabral, Consultant to the Office of External Relations and Development.

During the mission, the delegation held meetings with the Angolan Institute of Communications, the Embassy of Portugal in Angola and the Delegation of the European Union to Angola to discuss opportunities for collaboration in strengthening regulatory capacity.

The discussions included the presentation of the training initiative ICT Policy and Regulation – Institutional Strengthening, which aims to support the institutional and technical development of communications regulation.

Officials said the meetings also helped identify potential areas of cooperation to advance regulatory knowledge sharing and enhance the development of the digital and electronic communications sectors.

The mission forms part of ANACOM’s broader efforts to promote international cooperation and support sustainable development in digital communications through regulatory expertise and institutional partnerships.
