The
Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) has concluded a week of
community engagement across the Good Hope District, visiting eight schools in
seven villages, with the final session held at Mmathethe Junior Secondary
School. The initiative aimed to educate students, teachers, and local leaders
on BOCRA’s mandate and key services.

During
the sessions, participants received guidance on the Digital and Cybersecurity
Acts, tariff regulations, and community and commercial radio station licensing.
The engagements were interactive, allowing attendees to share insights and
provide feedback to strengthen collaboration and promote safe, inclusive
digital and communication environments.

BOCRA
expressed gratitude to the communities of the Good Hope District for their warm
reception and active participation, emphasizing the importance of informed
citizens in building a digitally empowered Botswana.
