Leaders
from across Africa convened at the Inclusive FinTech Forum 2026 in Kigali to
explore the future of inclusive finance and digital payments on the continent.
Among the participants, Frank Anwelle, Country Manager for Payaza in Liberia
and Sierra Leone, emphasized the importance of collaboration between payment
infrastructure providers and fintech innovators.
Discussions
highlighted Ghana’s growing leadership in digital payments, with particular
attention on the role of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited
(GhIPSS) in strengthening the national ecosystem. Stakeholders focused on
enhancing interoperability, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities to
scale financial solutions beyond national borders.
Platforms
such as Payaza Africa were noted as key drivers in connecting markets,
expanding access to financial services, and supporting the broader growth of
inclusive digital finance across Africa.
Participants
agreed that the future of payments on the continent will depend on
collaboration, technological innovation, and integrated digital infrastructure.
