The Minister of Information and Communication Technology in Namibia, Emma Theofelus, has launched the Creative, Sport and Tourism Expo at the Hage Geingob Stadium, with the event scheduled to take place from September 2 to 4, 2026 at the same venue.

The expo is expected to bring together stakeholders and participants from the creative arts, sports and tourism sectors, providing a platform to showcase talent and promote collaboration across the industries.

According to organisers, the event will feature a range of activities celebrating Namibian creativity and artistic talent, including competitions such as cheerleading and dance, alongside other arts-related engagements.

The sports segment of the expo will highlight emerging and established Namibian sporting talent through hashtag games, workshops led by experienced coaches across different sporting disciplines and other sports-focused activities.

The tourism component will showcase the country’s cultural diversity and natural attractions while promoting opportunities within the sector. Activities will include the 26th anniversary celebration of tourism in Namibia, the Namibia Tourism Awards and exhibitions highlighting destinations and tourism products across the country.

Speaking at the launch, Theofelus said the Creative, Sport and Tourism Expo represents an important initiative aimed at promoting innovation, collaboration and development across the three sectors while providing a platform to celebrate the energy and talent of Namibians.
