Minister
of ICT and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, has officially launched the Rwanda
FinTech Centre today, a new platform aimed at accelerating the country’s
development agenda by supporting fintech growth and ecosystem coordination.

The
launch took place on the sidelines of the Inclusive FinTech Forum 2026 and
represents a collaborative effort between the Ministry of ICT and Innovation,
the Kigali International Financial Centre, the ICT Chamber, the Rwanda FinTech
Association, and Luxembourg Cooperation.

The
Rwanda FinTech Centre is designed as a one-stop hub where financial
institutions, corporates, and innovators can collaborate to develop practical
solutions aligned with Rwanda’s Vision 2050 and the Financial Sector
Development Strategy. The initiative also aligns with KIFC’s goal of
translating policy ambition into market-ready solutions that expand access to
finance and support sustainable economic growth across Africa.
