Uganda’s President Yoweri
Kaguta Museveni has commended the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU)
for 50 years of advancing public relations and building institutional trust,
urging communication professionals to uphold truth, ethical standards and
responsible communication.
The President’s message was
delivered by Hon. Joyce Nabosa Ssebugwawo, State Minister for Information, who
officially opened PRAU’s 50th Golden Jubilee Conference in Jinja on his behalf.
In his address, Museveni
urged communication professionals to project Uganda’s development story to
local and international audiences while maintaining truthfulness, ethical
standards and responsibility in their work.
The conference marks 50
years of PRAU’s contribution to public relations in Uganda and its role in
building institutional trust.
