The Pan-African MineTech Hub
Exploration Technology Pre-Incubation Workshop in Lusaka is focusing on
developing a structured programme to help African innovators create
technologies that respond to real challenges in mineral exploration.
The second day of the
three-day workshop featured discussions on the framework that will guide
innovators through the programme, with participants working together to shape
its curriculum and delivery approach.
Discussions focused on
Stages 1 and 2 of the programme, feedback from incubators on innovators’ needs
at different stages, and how intellectual property can be integrated to help
innovators protect and develop their ideas.
The aim is to create a
practical, structured experience that equips innovators with the knowledge,
guidance and support to develop solutions that respond to real industry needs
and prepare for the next stage of their innovation journey.
As the workshop continues,
the focus remains on building a stronger pathway and pipeline for African
innovation in mineral exploration.
