Ghana’s Cyber Security
Authority (CSA) has launched the 2026 National Cyber Security Awareness Month
(NCSAM), calling on the media and other stakeholders to support public
education efforts aimed at strengthening digital safety across the country.
The awareness campaign,
observed every October, is designed to improve cybersecurity awareness among
individuals and institutions while strengthening national capacity to respond
to emerging digital threats.
NCSAM 2026 will be held
under the theme, “Securing Ghana’s Digital Finance Ecosystem: Building Trust
Through Collaboration and Cyber Resilience.”
The CSA is urging
stakeholders to actively participate in public education activities throughout
the month to help citizens and organisations better understand cybersecurity
risks and adopt safer digital practices.
The focus on Ghana’s digital
finance ecosystem reflects the growing importance of protecting digital
financial services as the use of mobile money, online banking and other digital
payment platforms continues to expand.
The Authority said
collaboration and cyber resilience will be central to building trust in Ghana’s
digital finance environment and strengthening the country’s ability to prevent,
withstand and respond to cyber threats.
Through NCSAM 2026, the CSA
is expected to engage the public and institutions on cybersecurity awareness
while promoting collective responsibility for protecting Ghana’s increasingly
digital economy.
