AXIAN Telecom Chief Executive Officer Hassan Jaber has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Senegal’s digital transformation following a visit to key operational sites and stakeholder engagements in Dakar and Touba.

During the visit, Jaber met with company teams, partners, local authorities and community leaders to gain insights into the growing demand for improved connectivity and digital services across the country. His itinerary included engagements in Touba, Senegal’s second-largest city and a major economic and social hub.

The AXIAN Telecom CEO said discussions with local stakeholders, including religious authorities and municipal leaders, highlighted the critical role of telecommunications infrastructure in supporting economic development and expanding digital opportunities for communities.

A key part of the visit included a tour of the company’s data centre alongside the Stellarix team, where Jaber reviewed the facility’s infrastructure and met with engineers responsible for its operations. He noted that strong local technical expertise would be essential in accelerating digital transformation efforts in Senegal and across the African continent.

The visit also coincided with Africa Day celebrations, during which employees gathered to mark the occasion and reflect on the role of connectivity in enabling social and economic progress.

Jaber described Senegal as a market with significant growth potential and expressed confidence in the ability of Yas, AXIAN Telecom’s brand in the country, to continue expanding its reach and strengthening its position as a leading provider of digital services.

He thanked employees, partners and stakeholders for their support and engagement, emphasizing that continued investment in infrastructure, innovation and local talent will be critical to meeting the evolving digital needs of communities throughout Senegal.

The visit forms part of AXIAN Telecom’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence across Africa and support the development of inclusive digital ecosystems that drive economic growth and social development.
