Ethiopia is highlighting the
growing cybersecurity capabilities of the Information Network Security
Administration (INSA) as the country seeks to strengthen the security and
resilience of its digital systems and protect national sovereignty.
Officials and guests from
various institutions visited INSA as part of activities commemorating
“Tomorrow’s Day,” which will be observed on Pagume 5, 2018 E.C.
During the visit,
participants observed INSA’s technological capabilities and readiness to
safeguard Ethiopia’s cybersecurity and national sovereignty, while also
assessing the institutional systems supporting the security of Digital
Ethiopia.
The visitors reviewed the
strong and sustainable institutional capacity developed by INSA, including
investments in advanced technology, skilled human resources and critical
infrastructure.
These capabilities are
intended to strengthen Ethiopia’s preparedness to respond to evolving
cybersecurity threats while ensuring the resilience of digital systems
supporting the country’s growing digital economy.
The visit formed part of
preparations for “Tomorrow’s Day,” an observance focused on building a better,
modern and secure Ethiopia for future generations.
Participants recognised
INSA’s investments in technology, human capital and critical infrastructure as
evidence of Ethiopia’s expanding cybersecurity capabilities and preparedness to
address future digital security challenges.
