Secretary-General, Doreen Bogdan-Martin has underscored the transformative
potential of digital technologies as a force for prosperity, dignity, and
planetary sustainability during the Digital@UNGA anchor event co-hosted by the
International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP).

In her remarks,
the Secretary-General emphasized the urgent need to connect the 2.6 billion
people still offline and achieve sustainable digital transformation within this
decade. She highlighted the importance of placing humanity at the center of
technological progress, ensuring that digital solutions drive equitable
opportunity and hope worldwide.

The event
showcased inspiring leadership and innovative approaches demonstrating how
digital tools can advance global development while maintaining a human-centric
approach to technological change.
