The Chief
Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency, Dr. Magid Ismail has welcomed a
diplomatic delegation from the Chinese Mission to the African Union for
high-level discussions on enhancing scientific and technical cooperation in the
field of space.
The meeting,
marked by a spirit of collaboration, focused on identifying strategic avenues
for partnership between Egypt and China in space science, technology, and
innovation. Both parties explored opportunities for joint initiatives that
would support capacity building, knowledge exchange, and the development of
space infrastructure in Africa.

Dr. Ismail stated
the importance of international cooperation in advancing space capabilities and
leveraging space technology for sustainable development. The Chinese delegation
reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Africa’s growing space sector through
technology transfer, training programs, and collaborative projects.
This engagement
underscores a shared vision to harness space technology for economic growth,
environmental monitoring, and regional security. It also highlights Egypt’s
pivotal role as a leader in Africa’s space ecosystem and China’s ongoing
