The Ministry of
Transport and Balafon Media Group have signed a strategic framework agreement,
aimed at improving the dissemination of meteorological information across
Cameroon.
The
collaboration aligns with the international “Early Warning for All” initiative,
which seeks to ensure equitable, fast, and reliable access to weather and
climate alerts, particularly for vulnerable populations.

By combining
the institutional expertise of the Ministry of Transport with the extensive
broadcasting reach of Balafon Media, the partnership aims to strengthen public
awareness, prevent climate-related risks, and save lives.
During the
signing ceremony, His Excellency Jean Ernest Ngallé Bibehè, Minister of
Transport, highlighted the government’s substantial investments in modernizing
meteorological infrastructure to improve forecasting accuracy and reliability.
Cyrille Bojiko, CEO of Balafon Media Corporations, reaffirmed the company’s
commitment to supporting public authorities in the rapid and widespread
dissemination of critical climate alerts.

This agreement
marks a decisive step toward building a culture of prevention and collective
resilience in Cameroon. It establishes a foundation for sustained cooperation
focused on risk education, timely communication, and ensuring that all citizens
have access to life-saving weather information.
