Commissioner General, Mr. Yusuph Mwenda. The meeting, held at Vodacom's offices
in Dar es Salaam, highlighted the telecommunications company's consistent tax
compliance over its 25-year operation in Tanzania.
During the

responsibility, having contributed over TZS 4.6 trillion to Tanzania's national
economy and development agenda in the past decade alone. The company has been
consistently recognized by TRA as one of the country's most compliant
taxpayers, reflecting its dedication to supporting national development through
responsible corporate citizenship.

revenue authority, addressing challenges and exploring ways to enhance the
business environment for sustainable growth. Both parties reaffirmed their
shared commitment to creating conditions that enable business expansion while
ensuring continued revenue collection that supports Tanzania's development
objectives.

transformation. The company's substantial tax contributions have played a
significant role in supporting government initiatives and public services
across the country.

telecommunications companies playing a vital role in providing the
infrastructure and services necessary for digital inclusion and economic
growth.
As Vodacom
marks 25 years of operation in Tanzania, the company's track record of tax
