The Ministry of ICT's Principal Secretary, Prince Mshishimba Andreas Dlamini, has outlined the government's comprehensive digital transformation agenda during the Eswatini Tourism Nkwe Indaba 2025. Speaking at a panel discussion focused on improving business operations, Mr. Dlamini detailed several key initiatives designed to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure and support entrepreneurial growth.

The high-level forum, officially opened by Prime Minister H.E. Russell Mmiso Dlamini, brought together tourism stakeholders and government officials to address critical challenges facing the sector.

During the Ease of Business panel discussion, Mr. Dlamini again emphasized the government's multifaceted approach to creating an enabling environment for digital innovation. "Our efforts are focused on building a robust digital ecosystem that supports businesses from conception to maturity," he stated. The initiatives include a comprehensive incubation program at the Royal Science and Technology Park that has already nurtured multiple startups to successful graduation.

The government's capacity building program has trained local developers on the Gov-Stack framework, enabling them to create scalable digital solutions tailored to Eswatini's specific needs. This technical training forms part of a broader strategy to develop homegrown talent capable of driving the nation's digital transformation.

Through strategic international partnerships with the UAE Government, India, and leading technology companies, Eswatini is launching extensive digital literacy programs. These collaborations will provide high-quality online courses targeting over 300,000 citizens, including specialized space technology training for 108 young women. The upcoming introduction of Google and Amazon academies will further expand opportunities for professional development in cutting-edge technologies.

The Ministry of ICT is also collaborating with the Ministry of Commerce to develop a national e-commerce strategy that will establish a framework for digital payment systems and online business growth. This initiative aims to create a supportive environment for businesses to thrive in the digital marketplace while ensuring secure and efficient transaction processing.
