WASCAL and the International
Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) have signed a five-year
Framework Cooperation Agreement to strengthen collaboration in research,
training, climate services, innovation, renewable energy and sustainable
development.
The agreement is expected to
provide a framework for both institutions to deepen cooperation and apply their
knowledge and expertise to practical solutions in climate and sustainable
development.
Following the signing, 2iE
officials paid a courtesy visit to WASCAL Headquarters in Accra, where
representatives of the two institutions exchanged ideas and explored
opportunities for further collaboration.
The engagement focused on
turning knowledge and expertise into practical solutions while strengthening
cooperation across areas covered by the framework agreement.
During the visit, the 2iE
delegation also endorsed the CCAN signature poster for climate action,
reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing climate awareness and collective
action.
WASCAL said the agreement
marks the beginning of a new chapter of collaboration and work between the two
institutions.
