MTN Mobile Money Zambia has
held discussions with Zambia’s Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) and the Public
Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF) on strengthening collaboration to support the
country’s digitalisation agenda and expand digital financial inclusion.
The PDU delegation, led by
Head of the Unit Kusobile Stewart Kamwambi, and the PPDF delegation, led by
Deputy Director General Jacqueline Saidi Chishimba, paid a courtesy visit to
MTN Mobile Money Zambia.
The delegations were
received by MTN Mobile Money Zambia Chief Executive Officer Komba Malukutila,
Chief Channel and Commercial Officer Malunga Siwela and Chief Product and
Strategy Officer Pafyako Malema Museba.
Discussions focused on
Zambia’s digitalisation agenda and the role MTN Mobile Money can play as a key
private-sector partner in multisectoral initiatives supporting the country’s
digital transformation.
The engagement provided an
opportunity for the parties to exchange views on potential areas of
collaboration and explore ways to strengthen public-private partnerships in
support of national digitalisation priorities.
The discussions also
reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing digital financial inclusion and
expanding access to digital financial services.
MTN Mobile Money Zambia said
continued cooperation between government and the private sector will be
important in accelerating digital adoption and ensuring that the benefits of
Zambia’s digital transformation reach more citizens and businesses.
