The Airtel Africa Foundation (AAF) has distributed future-ready laptops to participants of its Tech Fellows programme across its scholarship institutions, strengthening efforts to equip young learners with digital tools for innovation and skills development.

The initiative is aimed at supporting fellows with technology resources that go beyond connectivity by enabling access to learning materials, software applications and digital platforms to enhance their academic and innovation journeys.

Airtel Nigeria said the laptops come preloaded with essential software designed to support learning, encourage creativity and help participants develop technology-driven projects and solutions.

The distribution forms part of the Airtel Africa Foundation’s broader commitment to advancing digital inclusion, expanding access to technology and empowering young people with skills needed for the digital economy.

The Tech Fellows programme supports talented students through scholarship opportunities and digital empowerment initiatives, helping them gain access to resources that can improve their educational and professional prospects.

Airtel Africa Foundation congratulated the beneficiaries and expressed confidence that the fellows will use the tools to create impactful innovations and contribute to solving challenges within their communities.

The initiative reflects growing efforts by technology companies and development organisations across Africa to bridge the digital skills gap by combining access to devices, connectivity and relevant digital training opportunities.
