The Government Action Fair
(SAGO) is currently underway at the Yaoundé City Hall, bringing together public
institutions, policymakers, and key stakeholders to showcase national
development initiatives and public sector innovation.
As official sponsor of the
event, CAMTEL is participating in this year’s edition, which runs from June 6
to June 13, with a series of engagements focused on digital transformation and
public infrastructure development.
A major highlight of
CAMTEL’s participation took place on June 9, when the company hosted a
high-level conference led by its General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday Achidi. The
session was attended by government officials, public administration
representatives, parliamentarians, and development partners.
The discussion centered on
the theme “Protection of Public Data and Digital Sovereignty: The Zamengoe Data
Centre at the Service of Government Action and Cameroon’s Emergence,”
underscoring the strategic role of data infrastructure in national development.
CAMTEL emphasized that the
Zamengoe Data Centre, described as the largest in Central Africa and Tier III
certified, serves as a critical national asset for ensuring the security,
continuity, and local control of government data.
The company noted that
strengthening data protection and digital sovereignty is essential to building
public trust and supporting the modernization of state services.
SAGO 2026 continues through
June 13, with CAMTEL inviting stakeholders and visitors to engage with its
experts at its exhibition stand to learn more about ongoing efforts to develop
and secure Cameroon’s digital ecosystem.
