BasiGo has participated in the 4th Annual E-Mobility Stakeholders Conference and Expo 2026, joining key industry players advancing electric mobility in Kenya.

The two-day event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators focused on accelerating the transition to clean and sustainable transport systems in the country.

During the exhibition, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Opiyo Wandayi, and Kenya Power Chairperson, Joy Brenda Masinde, visited the BasiGo stand where the company showcased Kenya’s first electric school van alongside an electric van designed for public transport operations.

BasiGo Managing Director, Moses Nderitu, led presentations on the showcased vehicles, explaining how a shared base platform can be adapted to meet different mobility needs across school transport and public service use cases.

The company noted that discussions and engagements during the conference reflected growing momentum in Kenya’s electric mobility sector, with increasing recognition of e-mobility as a scalable and practical transport solution.

BasiGo stated that it remains committed to supporting the transition to clean and efficient public transport as part of broader efforts to reduce emissions and modernize mobility systems in the region.
