The
National Agency of Universal Telecommunications Services (ANSUT) has concluded
a five-day strategic training mission in Shenzhen, China, aimed at
strengthening Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation capabilities and
governance frameworks.
The
mission brought together a delegation of nine senior executives from the
Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalisation, ANSUT, the National
Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI), and ESATIC, who participated in
intensive training at the Huawei Global Training Center.
According
to ANSUT, the programme was designed to deepen understanding of global digital
transformation systems, ICT-driven economic restructuring, and governance
models necessary for accelerating national digital development.
The
delegation also engaged in immersive visits to leading technology companies
including Huawei, BYD, and DJI, focusing on industrial innovation, digital
economy strategies, and technology-enabled value creation models.
ANSUT
noted that the training aligns with Côte d’Ivoire’s national development
priorities and the broader objectives of its 2030 National Development Plan,
particularly in leveraging ICT as a driver of economic growth and job creation.
The
agency emphasized that digital transformation requires strong leadership and
governance frameworks in addition to technological capacity, highlighting
Shenzhen as a key global benchmark for integrated digital ecosystems.
Officials
involved in the mission stated that insights gained from the training will
support long-term strategic planning and strengthen institutional capacity to
drive Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation agenda.
ANSUT
added that it remains committed to advancing the country’s digital ambitions
under the strategic leadership of its Board Chairman, Yacouba Bamba, and
Director General, Gilles Thierry Beugré, in alignment with national ICT policy
objectives.
