The
Ministry of Vocational Training and Education in Algeria has concluded its
National Study Days for the Inspection Corps in Algiers, marking what officials
described as a new phase in the modernization of the country’s vocational
training oversight system.
The
event, held under the supervision of the Minister of Vocational Training and
Education, Nassima Arhab, brought together ministry officials and field
inspectors under the theme “The General Inspectorate in a New Phase.” The
discussions focused on strengthening the dual role of inspection services in
both evaluation and support to improve the overall quality of the vocational
training system.

A
key highlight of the sessions was the emphasis on the integration of digital
tools in governance and decision-making. The minister underscored the
importance of the “Inspection” digital platform as a mechanism for enhancing
data-driven management and improving institutional performance.
The
ministry also highlighted ongoing efforts to build digital competencies among
inspectors and to align training processes with the National Reference for
Training and Competencies as well as the competency-based approach. These
reforms aim to standardize practices and improve coordination across the
sector.

Participants
also examined ways to strengthen the role of inspectors within Algeria’s
broader entrepreneurial ecosystem, including involvement in entrepreneurship
development centers and business incubation structures.
The
study days, which featured five thematic workshops, concluded with a set of
recommendations aimed at modernizing the inspection function and reinforcing
its role as a strategic lever for reform within the vocational training system.
