Uganda's ICT sector gathers for critical annual performance review

The Ministry of ICT & National Guidance is currently hosting its Annual Sector Performance Review Workshop for the 2024/25 Financial Year, bringing together key stakeholders to evaluate Uganda's digital transformation progress.
The high-level
gathering unites all agencies under the ICT Ministry, Members of Parliament,
and development partners in a comprehensive assessment of the Digital
Transformation Programme's implementation. This year's review comes at a
pivotal moment as Uganda accelerates its push toward becoming a fully digital
economy.
Participants
are examining critical milestones achieved across various digital initiatives,
analyzing both successes and challenges encountered during the fiscal year. The
workshop serves as a strategic platform for aligning government agencies,
legislators, and technical partners on priority actions needed to maintain
momentum in Uganda's tech revolution.
The outcomes of
this intensive review will directly inform Uganda's ICT planning and budgeting
for the coming year, with particular focus on expanding digital infrastructure,
enhancing e-government services, and boosting digital literacy nationwide.
