Rwanda’s Minister of ICT and
Innovation, Paula Ingabire, has welcomed an Israeli delegation led by
Ambassador Einat Weiss and Haim Bibas, Chairman of the Federation of Local
Authorities in Israel, for discussions on innovation and smart city
development.
The meeting focused on the
use of emerging technologies and digital solutions to support smart city
development and improve public services.
According to the Ministry of
ICT and Innovation, discussions covered artificial intelligence (AI),
cybersecurity, smart infrastructure and data-driven solutions.
The engagement highlights
Rwanda’s continued focus on leveraging technology and innovation to strengthen
public services and develop smarter, more connected urban environments.
The discussions also brought
together perspectives on how AI and other digital technologies can be applied
to address public-sector needs, while cybersecurity and data-driven approaches
remain central to the development of digital infrastructure and services.
