Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of
Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Djibril Ouattara, has
appointed Pépin Cyriaque Vougo as Cybersecurity Technical Adviser as the
government strengthens its focus on cybersecurity and the resilience of
national digital infrastructure.
Ouattara announced Vougo’s
appointment, describing him as an expert in digital transformation and
cybersecurity with professional experience at the African Development Bank, the
International Monetary Fund and major international technology and financial
institutions.
The Minister said Vougo’s
expertise and experience will contribute to the government’s efforts to
accelerate Côte d’Ivoire’s digital transformation while addressing
cybersecurity and the resilience of digital infrastructure.
His appointment comes as
Côte d’Ivoire expands its digital services and artificial intelligence agenda,
increasing the need for stronger cybersecurity safeguards and resilient
technology infrastructure.
Ouattara said cybersecurity
remains a key priority in ensuring that digital transformation delivers lasting
benefits to citizens and businesses.
The Minister welcomed Vougo
to the public sector and expressed confidence that his experience would
strengthen ongoing efforts to build a more secure and resilient digital
ecosystem in Côte d’Ivoire.
