MTN Mobile Money Zambia
Chief Executive Officer Komba Malukutila has been named CEO of the Year in
recognition of his leadership and contribution to Zambia’s financial sector.
Malukutila received the
award from the Bankers Association of Zambia and the Zambia Institute of
Banking and Financial Services at an awards event held under the patronage of
the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Zambia.
In his response, Malukutila
expressed appreciation to the organisations behind the recognition and
congratulated the other winners and nominees honoured during the event.
He also dedicated the
recognition to the MTN Mobile Money Zambia team, acknowledging their passion,
resilience and commitment as key contributors to the achievements recorded
under his leadership.
Malukutila said the award
was also a personal reminder of the importance of leadership beyond
professional titles. He recognised his sons, Noah and Lukundo, as a major
source of his motivation to continue growing and becoming a better leader.
He attributed the
recognition ultimately to God and described the award not only as a celebration
of past achievements but also as renewed motivation to continue breaking
barriers, creating impact and serving with purpose.
The recognition comes as
Malukutila leads MTN Mobile Money Zambia, a major player in the country’s
digital financial services ecosystem, amid increasing efforts to expand
financial inclusion and digital payments.
