MTN
Uganda has officially launched the 2026 edition of its annual 21 Days of Y’ello Care employee
volunteerism campaign, with a nationwide focus on expanding equitable access to
healthcare and improving maternal health outcomes.
The
initiative is being implemented under the theme, "Expand Equitable Health for Every
Community," and will see MTN employees dedicate 21 days to
community service projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery and
supporting vulnerable populations across Uganda.
The
campaign places particular emphasis on strengthening maternal healthcare by
supporting mothers and addressing barriers that limit access to quality health
services in underserved communities.
Through
a series of health-focused interventions, MTN Uganda's teams will work with
local communities to improve healthcare access while contributing to healthier
outcomes for families.
The
telecommunications operator said the campaign reflects its continued commitment
to creating sustainable social impact by investing in initiatives that improve
the well-being of the communities it serves.
Recognizing
that long-term change requires collective action, MTN Uganda is collaborating
with healthcare providers, government institutions and other stakeholders to
implement sustainable solutions that will continue to benefit communities
beyond the duration of the 21-day campaign.
The
company noted that the initiative seeks not only to deliver immediate
healthcare support but also to strengthen local health systems and encourage
community participation in improving public health outcomes.
The
21 Days of Y’ello Care programme is MTN Group's flagship annual employee
volunteer initiative, bringing together staff across its operating markets to
support community development through projects aligned with local social and
economic priorities.
