Côte d’Ivoire’s National
Telecommunications Universal Service Agency (ANSUT) has finalised its 2026–2030
Strategic Plan, setting the stage for a new phase of digital inclusion and
national digital transformation.
The strategic plan was
concluded during a seminar held ahead of the agency’s Board of Directors
meeting, bringing together the Chairman of the Board, board members, the
management committee and senior leadership to define ANSUT’s priorities for the
next five years.
The discussions were
attended by the Minister of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation,
who presented the ministry’s 2026–2028 roadmap and outlined the government’s
strategic priorities for accelerating digital transformation.
According to ANSUT Director
General Gilles Beugre, the agency’s new strategic plan has been designed to
align closely with the ministry’s roadmap, positioning ANSUT as a key driver of
Côte d’Ivoire’s national digital development agenda.
The strategy is built around
three core priorities: expanding connectivity, increasing access to digital
equipment and strengthening digital skills across the country.
Through these priorities,
ANSUT aims to enhance universal access to telecommunications services while
supporting the country’s broader objectives of digital inclusion and digital
sovereignty.
The agency said the
strategic plan reflects its commitment to ensuring that digital transformation
benefits communities across Côte d’Ivoire, including underserved and remote
areas.
Beugre commended the
contributions of the agency’s Board of Directors, noting that their guidance
and strategic oversight played an important role in shaping the plan.
The 2026–2030 strategy is
expected to guide ANSUT’s investments and programmes over the coming years as
the agency works to expand communications infrastructure, improve access to
digital technologies and strengthen citizens’ participation in the digital
economy.
