MTN Cameroon has reaffirmed
its commitment to strengthening partnerships with traditional leaders and local
communities following a courtesy visit by His Majesty Angwafo IV, Fon of
Mankon, to the company’s headquarters.
The visit provided an
opportunity for discussions on the role of collaboration between businesses,
traditional authorities and communities in supporting sustainable development
across Cameroon.
MTN Cameroon Chief Executive
Officer Wanda Matandela welcomed the Fon of Mankon and highlighted the
company’s commitment to building strong relationships with community leaders as
part of its broader efforts to contribute to national development.
Matandela said MTN Cameroon
remains focused on connecting people, creating opportunities and enabling more
citizens to benefit from digital services and the opportunities of a connected
society.
The company continues to
invest in telecommunications infrastructure, digital solutions and
community-focused initiatives aimed at expanding access to technology and
supporting socio-economic development.
MTN Cameroon said
partnerships with traditional leaders remain important in understanding
community needs and ensuring that digital transformation efforts reach people
across different regions of the country.
