The Ministry of ICT and
National Guidance has engaged Airtel Uganda in discussions aimed at
strengthening collaboration to support Uganda’s digital transformation agenda.
The engagement, which formed
part of the Ministry’s ongoing strategic stakeholder consultations, focused on
opportunities to expand digital connectivity, promote innovation and increase
access to technology-enabled services across the country.
During the meeting, the
Ministry’s leadership and representatives from Airtel Uganda explored areas of
mutual interest that could contribute to building a more inclusive digital
ecosystem and ensuring that more Ugandans benefit from digital opportunities.
The discussions highlighted
the importance of partnerships between government and private sector players in
advancing connectivity, supporting innovation and accelerating the adoption of
digital solutions.
The Ministry said continued
collaboration with key industry stakeholders remains essential to achieving
Uganda’s digital development goals and creating a more connected and digitally
empowered society.
