Rwanda and Singapore have discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, with a focus on strengthening digital public infrastructure, institutional capacity and the adoption of emerging technologies.

The discussions took place between Rwanda’s Minister of ICT and Innovation, Yves Iradukunda, and Singapore’s High Commissioner to Rwanda, Jaspal Singh, during an engagement aimed at exploring areas of mutual collaboration.

The meeting highlighted opportunities for Rwanda to draw lessons from Singapore’s digital development experience, particularly in areas such as digital identity ecosystems and the delivery of technology-enabled public services.

Both sides explored pathways to strengthen Rwanda’s digital public infrastructure and enhance institutional capabilities to support the country’s digital transformation agenda.

The engagement comes as Rwanda continues to advance initiatives focused on artificial intelligence, digital innovation and inclusive technology adoption as part of its broader development strategy.

Singapore’s experience in building a digitally enabled economy provides potential areas for knowledge exchange as Rwanda works to expand the use of digital solutions across government services and other sectors.

The discussions reaffirm the growing importance of international partnerships in supporting countries to develop resilient digital ecosystems and harness emerging technologies for economic and social development.
