The
National Universal Telecommunications Service Agency (ANSUT) has rewarded
winners of the CICN Generation Hackathon during the “Day of Merit and
Excellence” held at Lycée Mamie Houphouët Faitai in Bingerville, Côte d’Ivoire.
The
winning team, Power Girls, was recognised for developing a personalised school
orientation game designed to support students in making informed academic
choices. The solution was created by students for students as part of efforts
to promote practical digital innovation in education.

As
part of the awards, the winners received new-generation computers and school
kits in recognition of their achievement.
The
ceremony was attended by the school leadership, which praised the impact of the
Centre for Innovation and Digital Culture (CICN) in strengthening digital
literacy and transforming students into effective users of technology. The
school also commended ANSUT for its continued commitment to youth digital
empowerment.
ANSUT
was represented at the event by Mr. César Yao, Director of Solutions and
Service Integration, and Ms. Fatou Cissé, Director of Human Resources and
Communication. The delegation reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to ensuring
that students benefit from digital skills development opportunities across the
country.

The
agency announced plans to expand the CICN initiative, with nine new centres
scheduled to open in cities across the interior of Côte d’Ivoire at the start
of the 2026–2027 academic year.
ANSUT
reiterated that bridging the digital divide requires not only access to
technology but also meaningful use, noting its ongoing efforts to promote
digital inclusion and skills development nationwide.
