Irembo has participated in
discussions at the Africa CEO Forum on the future ownership and development of
digital public infrastructure across the continent.
The company’s Chief
Executive Officer, Israel Bimpe, joined the LEAD roundtable session where
policymakers, business leaders, and technology stakeholders examined the role
of governments, private sector players, and partnerships in building Africa’s
digital systems.

The discussions focused on
one of the key issues shaping Africa’s digital transformation agenda:
determining who should build, manage, and own the digital public infrastructure
that underpins service delivery, citizen access, and digital ecosystems.
Participants reflected on
Rwanda’s experience in digital transformation and considered how decisions made
over the coming years could influence the way public services are delivered,
how digital systems are structured, and how innovation ecosystems evolve across
the continent.
The engagement also
highlighted the growing importance of digital public infrastructure in
supporting efficient governance, inclusion, and broader socio-economic
development in Africa’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

According to Irembo, the
discussions form part of broader continental conversations on creating
sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystems capable of improving access to
services while supporting innovation and long-term growth.
The Africa CEO Forum
continues to serve as a platform for dialogue among government officials,
private sector leaders, and development stakeholders on Africa’s economic and
digital transformation priorities.
