The Ministry of ICT &
National Guidance has held an engagement with the outgoing ICT Committee of
Parliament and sector entities to assess progress made under Uganda’s Digital
Transformation Programme and strengthen collaboration across the country’s digital
ecosystem.

The discussions focused on
advancing digital infrastructure, improving public service delivery, and
expanding opportunities for citizens within the digital economy as Uganda
continues efforts to build a more connected and technology-driven society.
According to the Ministry,
the engagement provided an opportunity for stakeholders to review achievements
made under the programme while identifying areas requiring stronger
coordination between government institutions and sector agencies.

Officials also emphasized
the importance of deepening cooperation among public sector entities to
accelerate digital inclusion, enhance efficiency in government operations, and
support the country’s broader digital transformation agenda.
The meeting reaffirmed a
shared commitment among stakeholders to continue driving initiatives aimed at
improving connectivity, modernising service delivery systems, and creating an
enabling environment for innovation and digital empowerment across Uganda.
