Employees of Vodacom Congo have completed a three-day intensive volunteer training programme under the Instant Network Mission – DRC Hub Training initiative organised by the Vodafone Foundation.

The training, held from May 5 to May 7, brought together around 20 Vodacom employees to strengthen their emergency response and community support skills as part of the company’s volunteer engagement efforts.

According to the foundation, the programme is designed to prepare employees to join the wider network of Vodafone volunteers who support communities affected by emergencies and humanitarian challenges.

Vodacom said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to volunteerism and community service, with employees being equipped to provide practical support and solutions to people in need.

The company noted that the training forms part of broader efforts to build a culture of solidarity and service among its workforce while contributing to humanitarian and community development initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Vodacom added that the programme reinforces its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through employee-driven social impact activities.
