Digham has commenced a new term as Chair of the Digital Transformation Study
Group under the International Telecommunication Union Development Sector for
the 2026–2028 cycle.
The
recent session marked the beginning of the new study period, bringing together
a mix of returning participants and new members to shape the group’s strategic
direction. Discussions focused on defining a work plan aimed at advancing
digital transformation initiatives across member countries.

Participants
engaged in deliberations centered on identifying priorities, fostering
collaboration, and developing practical frameworks to support inclusive and
impactful digital transformation globally.
The
Study Group operates within the ITU Development Sector, which is tasked with
supporting countries in leveraging information and communication technologies
for sustainable development.

The
new leadership cycle is expected to drive renewed momentum, incorporating fresh
perspectives and ideas to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the
global digital landscape.
