Flutterwave
has held a high-level engagement with Nigeria’s Ministry of Interior aimed at
strengthening public sector financial infrastructure and advancing digital
payment systems.
The
meeting was led by Flutterwave Founder and CEO Olugbenga Agboola during a
courtesy visit to the Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Discussions
focused on enhancing government revenue collection systems, improving
transparency and enabling more efficient service delivery through the adoption
of digital payments. The engagement also explored opportunities for
collaboration between the public sector and fintech providers to build secure
and scalable financial systems.

Agboola
was accompanied by Flutterwave’s Public Sector Business Head Olufunmilayo
Olaniyi, as well as Stanley Uzochukwu, reflecting a broader industry interest
in supporting government digital transformation initiatives.
The
meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen partnerships between technology
companies and public institutions, with a focus on driving institutional
efficiency and inclusive economic growth through digital innovation.
