Ethiopost
has achieved major international recognition after securing top positions in
the 2025 Express Mail Service (EMS) Quality of Service assessment conducted
under the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
The
organisation ranked first in Africa and sixth globally in the EMS overall
service quality category, marking a significant milestone in its operational
performance on the international stage.

Ethiopost
also excelled in customer service delivery, ranking first in Africa and third
globally in the EMS Customer Care category. Officials said this reflects strong
alignment with international service standards and a continued focus on
customer-centric service delivery.
The
results form part of the UPU’s EMS Quality of Service benchmarking system,
which evaluates postal operators worldwide based on efficiency, reliability and
customer experience.
Management
attributed the achievement to ongoing institutional reforms and continuous
improvements implemented over the past three years, aimed at strengthening
Ethiopia’s competitiveness in the global logistics and express mail sector.

The
organisation congratulated its staff for their contribution to the milestone,
describing the recognition as a reflection of collective effort and commitment
to service excellence.
Ethiopost
said the achievement reinforces its commitment to further enhancing service
delivery and maintaining high international standards in the postal and
logistics industry.
