Semiconductor
Technologies Limited (STL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with
ChipMango to strengthen collaboration in Africa’s semiconductor sector.
The
agreement was formalised during the inaugural Africa Semiconductor Funder
Forum, marking a step toward building a more resilient and integrated
semiconductor supply chain across the continent.

The
partnership brings together STL’s capabilities in semiconductor fabrication,
process engineering, hardware development and system integration with
ChipMango’s expertise in artificial intelligence chip design. The collaboration
is expected to support innovation across the semiconductor value chain, from
research to industrial-scale implementation.
Officials
from both organisations said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to
accelerating the development of Africa’s semiconductor ecosystem and
positioning the continent as a competitive player in the global technology
landscape.

The
companies added that the collaboration will focus on driving technological
advancement and fostering cross-border cooperation to address gaps in the
semiconductor industry while supporting broader digital transformation efforts.
