The
Secretary General of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO),
Bernadette Lewis, has conducted a series of bilateral engagements with member
state delegations on the sidelines of the organisation’s 64th Council of Member
States meeting in Lesotho.

The
high-level meetings brought together representatives from Gabon, Mozambique,
Cameroon, Mauritius, and Uganda, focusing on strengthening partnerships and
identifying areas of mutual interest in advancing digital transformation
agendas.
Discussions
centred on enhancing collaboration across key areas, including digital
infrastructure development, policy alignment, and capacity building, as member
states seek to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth in the digital
economy.

The
engagements underscore the CTO’s role as a convening platform for dialogue and
cooperation among Commonwealth countries, providing an avenue for governments
and stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop strategic partnerships.
The
organisation noted that fostering stronger bilateral and multilateral
relationships remains critical to addressing shared challenges and unlocking
opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
