Roger
Adom has been appointed Chairman of the Regulatory Council of Côte d’Ivoire’s
Telecommunications and ICT Regulatory Authority (ARTCI) by decree of President
Alassane Ouattara.
The
appointment places Adom at the helm of a key institution overseeing the
country’s digital and telecommunications sector, as Côte d’Ivoire continues to
advance its digital transformation agenda.
In
a statement following his appointment, Adom expressed gratitude to the Head of
State for the confidence reposed in him, describing the role as both an honour
and a significant responsibility. He noted that the regulatory authority plays
a strategic role in shaping the country’s digital ecosystem.
Adom
also extended congratulations to newly appointed members of the Regulatory
Council, including Laure Besse, Isaac Gnamba-Yao, and Issa Nibé Kolo Coulibaly,
highlighting their expertise as critical to addressing emerging challenges in
the sector.
He
emphasized his commitment to leveraging his experience to promote a more
inclusive and competitive digital environment that supports innovation and
serves the needs of citizens.
The
leadership changes come at a time when Côte d’Ivoire is seeking to strengthen
regulatory frameworks and expand digital infrastructure to support economic
growth and technological advancement.
