TouristTap App has hosted a stakeholder event dubbed “Tap into Kenya,” bringing together government officials, private sector partners, and industry leaders to highlight the future of digital tourism and seamless payments in Kenya.

The event was attended by the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano, alongside the Principal Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, Regina Akoth Ombam, as well as representatives from Visa and KCB Bank Group.

According to organisers, the engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to develop smarter, more inclusive, and frictionless payment systems for visitors to Kenya.

TouristTap said the initiative is designed to enhance the tourism experience by enabling visitors to make payments like locals, reducing transactional barriers and improving convenience across the sector.

Stakeholders at the event emphasized Kenya’s readiness to adopt digital solutions that improve efficiency, accessibility, and the overall visitor experience.

The initiative was presented as part of broader efforts to position Kenya as a digitally enabled tourism destination, leveraging partnerships between government institutions, financial service providers, and technology innovators.

TouristTap noted that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to transforming the tourism experience through innovation and inclusive digital infrastructure.
