The
Kenya Airports Authority has been recognised at the inaugural Airports Council
International Africa Digital Communication and Engagement Awards 2026, marking
a milestone in its digital engagement and communications efforts.
KAA
was named first runner-up in the Social Media Presence and Campaign Integration
category, an award that highlights creativity, strategic storytelling and
effective audience engagement across digital platforms.

The
recognition reflects the authority’s use of digital channels to showcase its
operations, projects and milestones in real time, demonstrating the role of
communication in supporting connectivity, economic growth and opportunity
creation.
In
addition, KAA received recognition under Airports Council International Africa
for its participation in the Elevate Her Initiative, through which the
organisation trained 33 women in 2025 as part of efforts to promote gender
inclusion in the aviation sector.

The
awards were presented during the recently concluded ACI Africa Conference and
Exhibition held in Luanda, Angola, with Vincent Korir Cheruiyot receiving the
honours on behalf of the authority.
