PwC
Ghana has hosted a high-level technical delegation from Suriname as part of
ongoing efforts to strengthen technical and vocational education and training
(TVET) and youth employment initiatives.
The
engagement was held in collaboration with the Design and Technology Institute
under the Mastercard Foundation Institutional Strengthening Project, which
focuses on building capacity and improving outcomes in skills development.

Discussions
during the visit centered on addressing the gap between youth unemployment and
the growing demand for job-ready technical and digital skills, a challenge
highlighted in recent findings by the Mastercard Foundation.
The
meeting also recognized the leadership of Constance Swaniker for her
contributions to advancing TVET and promoting youth employability.

Participants
emphasized the importance of collaboration between public and private sector
stakeholders in driving sustainable job creation and equipping young people
with relevant skills for the evolving job market.
