The
Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation Djibouti has officially launched
work on the École 42 Djibouti, marking a significant step in the country’s
efforts to build digital skills and support technological innovation.
The
launch ceremony, held under the patronage of the Minister of Digital Economy
and Innovation, brought together a high-level international delegation from the
42 Network, including its Director General and International Director of
Development.

Ahead
of the event, officials conducted a site visit to validate the technical
specifications and development plans for the future campus, ensuring alignment
with the standards of the global 42 network.
During
the ceremony, a partnership agreement was signed between the Djibouti Code
Campus Association and Association 42, marking the transition of the project
into its operational phase.
The
initiative is being implemented with support from the European Union through
the E-Skills programme, alongside Expertise France, reflecting international
collaboration to advance digital capacity building in Djibouti.

École
42 will adopt a project-based learning model focused on areas such as software
development, cybersecurity and data, with the aim of equipping young people
with practical skills aligned to industry needs.
Authorities
say the project is expected to strengthen local talent development, foster
innovation, promote technology-driven entrepreneurship and support the broader
digital transformation of key sectors in the country.
